When blustery winter winds are on their way, you need reassurance that your home will be a haven from the rough weather ahead. You don’t want to have to bundle up in three sweaters, two pairs of mittens, and your thickest socks just to be comfortable in your home.
Don’t shiver your way through the winter. If you need furnace installation, it’s time to contact the experts at SALT.
Our team of experienced technicians can help you with every step of your furnace installation, from choosing the right model to the more technical aspects of getting your home in working order before the first cold spell of the year.
Trust the SALT team in Austin, TX, to keep your home as comfortable as possible. You might even forget it’s winter altogether.
Are you overwhelmed by all the technical details associated with selecting a new furnace to heat your home? You aren’t alone. Many of our Austin, TX, homeowners feel the same way when it comes time to make such a major investment.
Deciding on the right unit for your home requires a good deal of expertise and experience, and we’re here to guide you through every step.
SALT will send a qualified HVAC technician to your home to evaluate the proper size and specs for your new furnace installation. They will take into account important factors such as:
Calculating the appropriate size of your new unit requires a professional touch. It isn’t enough to base your furnace needs off the square footage of your home alone. One of our experts will factor in some of these other calculations as well as take into consideration the goals you have for heating your home.
One mistake that many homeowners make when it comes to their furnace installation is selecting the largest unit they can find. This sounds good in theory, because a larger unit should produce more heat for your home. However, it tends to heat the home faster and then cycle on and off more often.
Of course, opting to install a furnace that’s too small could also be a recipe for disaster. It won’t be able to heat your home effectively, leading to hot and cold spots throughout the rooms. Not to mention, it may run more frequently, which can drive up your utility bill.
Whether your unit is too big or too small, it could spell problems. Your unit may run more often than it should, work harder to efficiently heat your home, and incur more wear and tear on its parts. As a result, it may not last as long as you had anticipated when you invested in it.
Let the team at SALT in Austin, TX, help with your next furnace installation so that you can get the service and quality you need.
If you’re in the process of reaching out to our team, chances are your current furnace isn’t doing a bang-up job at heating your Austin home. Make a list of your current issues to discuss with your assigned technician so that they can address all of your problems when selecting a new unit.
Hot and cold spots, too much noise, temperature spikes, and astronomical utility bills should all be taken into account when you’re assessing what your new furnace installation will look like.
We can help you to find the perfect unit that will heat your home adequately and save you money on utility bills.
Many of the newer models used for a brand new furnace installation are more energy efficient than those of years past. If saving money on your utility bill is one of your priorities, let our technicians know. We can steer you toward the right model.

It didn’t take him very long to figure out why my furnaces were not working. He explained the problem and how he fixed it. He also showed me some helpful things I did not know about my thermostats. Lastly, Aaron pointed out potential future problems with other components with my furnace. Aaron has experience in both residential and commercial troubleshooting and repairs. As always, I had a great experience with SALT. D Kelley2025-01-30Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Updated survey 1/30/25, Salt came by to perform warranty repairs on our system. The tech, David Elving did an outstanding job. He assessed the issue and resolved it in quick fashion. David is very courteous and professional. Thank you for servicing our system so quickly. Update survey 7/15/24: Salt installed our new HVAC system last Friday. Primary Technicians Erwin and Jacoby did a great job removing the old system and installing the new one in one day. By the way, our system is in the attic. On a hot day, working in the attic is not an easy task. Speaking of a hot day. Salt provided a portable AC system to use in our den while they replaced our system. Wow, that helped us stay comfortable while the AC was being replaced. There were two additional technicians who helped install the outdoor unit. I do not member their names. They did a great job too. My wife and I are very pleased with the technical expertise and courteous attitudes of the Salt employees. Their sales, office and technician staff are top notch! Oh, the new system is OUTSTANDING! SEE UPDATE: Had Salt AC perform an AC Tune Up . Very professional and thorough. Technician Garret explained potential service issues in a simple to understand manner. Great job! Update 7/12/24. Sales advisor Chris was absolutely wonderful. His knowledge of HVAC systems coupled with his great interpersonal skills, was the key factor in our decision to negotiate a fair deal on a new SALT HVAC system. Jan 29, 2025 This will have to be short & sweet. I am running out of space. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! Nov 22, 2024 Chris, like every Salt technician who have been to my home, called to say he was on the way and was there anything he could pick up for me. One of these times, I am going to take them on this. Anyway. I will start the review now. I have been having a problem with different temperatures in different areas of the house. Chris checked the temperature at all of the outlets. There was a small difference in the front and back of the house. He did recommend a new thermostat with a couple of sensors. They would be in the front and rear of the house. I will probably go with that, but may wait until Jan. Garret & John called as we were in the middle of breakfast. They agreed to be a little slower getting here. After they arrived, they checked everything and found that the fan was broken. They went to the warehouse to get a new one, returned and installed it. They also discovered a problem with the thermostat and fixed that. They were both professional, friendly, and explained what was being done. Michael was a little early. He quickly realized that the maintenance had already been done, but had not been reset. He checked to be sure everything was still good and reset it. Steven & Tim showed up on time today and went right to work. Steven had already explained what they were going to do and why it should be done. They finished in a little less time than they had estimated. Steven was professional and friendly. He explained what he was suggesting and why it should be done. Enjoyed talking with him. A. J. & Logan were both professional and personable. They explained what they did and gave several options. They connected with both my wife and myself. As always, the service was quick and professional. Jeremy did a thorough check on everything. He found a couple of issues. They may not have been the issues that caused my problems, but they may have been. Whether they were what caused my problems or not, they were issues that needed to be fixed. He fixed them and explained what he was doing. As always, he was polite, professional, and friendly. The power went out yesterday and the generator did not come on. Michael was on another job, but came as soon as he could, which was about an hour. The problem was the battery. He replaced it and came back this morning to verify that it was being charged. Everything is current great. Michael came today to help me reconnect my generator & water heater to my new WIFI. We both learned something new. He did not know how to do the water heater, but he took the time and figured it out. Greg & Ethan came today. They replace a breaker that was a fire risk with two breakers, which is the way it should have been done in the first place. Both of them were professional and friendly. I enjoyed talking with them. Michael performed the semi-annual A/C tuneup. I had several questions and he not only answered them, but explained them. All of the Salt people have been friendly and professional. Anthony came out on Saturday and replaced the circuit breaker. It now appears the the problem is the water heater. We are getting a new one tomorrow. We were having problems with our water heater. Alan came out yesterday and got it running again. He recommended we have the electrical checked out. It stopped working again last night. Miller from the electrical side of the company came out this morning. He found the circuit breaker for the water heater and saw that it had been thrown. With his help, I reset the circuit breaker and the water heater is working again. Everyone from Salt who has done work for me has explained what was happening and has explained options as to what to do next. This was to replace the plenum. It ended up being more of a job than was expected, but the guys kept at it. I believe they even gave up the lunch time.
