HVAC technician and installer careers

Handle service calls, diagnostics, and system replacements across greater Austin. Lead techs carry EPA certification and receive a take-home van with the full pay package.

Plumbing careers

Manage residential repairs, drain clearing, and water heater installs throughout Austin. SALT welcomes licensed Journeymen, Tradesmen, and apprentices working through the structured pay scale.

Electrical careers

Complete panel upgrades, rewiring, and EV charger installations. Licensed Journeymen and Wiremen receive ongoing safety training and strong hourly pay with clear advancement at SALT.

Licensing, Apprenticeships, and How You Move Up at SALT

You do not need a trade license to start. SALT accepts entry-level apprentice applicants across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Texas trade licensing follows state regulatory frameworks:

HVAC and Electrical: Regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Progression from apprentice to journeyman to master level.

Plumbing: Regulated by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE). Progression from apprentice to tradesman, journeyman, and master plumber.

Training support: SALT covers approved continuing education and state licensing exam fees, and provides paid field mentorship throughout the licensing process.

Apprentices log verified on-the-job training hours under SALT’s active master licenses: TECL #26149, TACLB #117615E, and LIC# M-44221. That master-level supervision is available from day one.
